WHAT is Missionary Day?
Missionary Day at Camp Sychar is the day that we focus on Missions in each of our services. This focus is marked with messages from many of our "on-the-grounds" Missionaries.
Our MISSIONARY DAY FESTIVAL is in the afternoon on Missionary Day and is an event that began several years ago as a way to get younger campers excited about the day. This year's Missions Festival will be held from 1:30-3:30 pm. We will have meet and greet locations with many different missionaries and missions organizations, games, food (including homemade doughnuts that are an annual favorite) and the ever popular silent auction. (Please see the bottom of this page for auction details.) This family-friendly event has become one of the highlights of Missionary Day so please join us - even if just for this day.

WGM - Chrissy Greenwell & Efrain Charles
(Mexico)
Called to missions as a teenager, I participated on a couple disaster service work teams close to home. While attending Asbury College, now Asbury University (Kentucky), I traveled on two life-changing Task Force teams with World Gospel Mission. During these trips, God confirmed His call on my life; He aligned my heart’s desire with the knowledge of His call.
In 1996, I served as a Volunteers In Action participant on the Texas/Mexico border, and God continued extending my vision toward the people of Mexico. After graduating from language school in May 2000, I moved to Mexico and began an amazing journey. I have lived in four different cities in three states and have had the privilege of working with several hundred Mexicans in more than 20 different WGM churches.
As the Church in Mexico grows, new ministry opportunities are developing. The president of the WGM Church in Mexico has asked me to coordinate the children’s programs throughout the national church. This project includes AWANA, Sunday School programs, projects with the 4/14 Window, and training classes for Sunday School teachers and parents.
I’m excited about the possibilities and all that needs to be done to see each children’s program grow and impact Mexico for Christ. I look forward to traveling throughout Mexico, holding training seminars, coordinating teaching materials, and much more.
Please pray for the formation of a team to work with me in each of these projects. Perhaps you would like to be a part of this ministry team. You would be welcomed with arms wide open! Ask me about the 4/14 Window and how you can help extend the kingdom of God in Mexico.

OMS - Carl & Kelli Dingus
(Taiwan)
Our positions at Morrison Academy allow us to minister not only to the children of other missionaries but also to the children of both western and Taiwanese businessmen. Many of these students begin school with zero knowledge of the One True God who created them and deeply desires a relationship with them. While our words are important, it is our actions, attitudes, and relationships that seem to catch their attention. We deeply desire the head knowledge that we teach to become a life-changing heart decision that will alter not only their lives but the lives of their families. It is so easy to get caught up in the duties of everyday life and miss the God-given opportunities to share Him both in words and actions. Please pray that we will walk with God as Noah did, trusting daily in His life-sustaining peace and joy.

"Baskets for Missions" Silent Auction
Once again we will have the silent auction during the Missionary Day Festival. We are looking for auction items to be donated. You can make a themed gift basket such as "Bar-B-Que" or "Kids" basket. Get creative or look online for ideas!
Are you crafty? Do you make items? We would love to auction your homemade items! We had some amazing hand-made pieces in the past!
We will start setting up after the 10:30 service. Please bring any items you are donating to the auction area then. (The auction area will be determined by the weather and will be either outside of the tabernacle or in the back of the tabernacle.) We are excited to see what creativity you bring!
