Rooms - Nightly Rental

Camp Sychar has a variety of rooms available for rent, these rooms can be found in the Hotel, Annex, Weatherwax and Old Dorm. Each room costs $142.50 for a 10-day rental. Rooms are also available at a rate of $15 a day.

Double-sized rooms cost $190 for a 10-day rental. These rooms are also available at a rate of $20 a day.

Rooms - Permanent Rental

A permanent room is defined as one that is occupied by the same person year after year. Personal furniture may remain in the room between encampments. Each single-sized room costs $200 for a “permanent” 10-day rental. Double-sized rooms are $250 for a “permanent” 10-day rental.

Large Cottages

Many members of the Camp Sychar family stay in cottages. There are two cottage sizes at Camp Sychar, large and half. Large cottages cost $400 and have a 10-day minimum rental.

RV/Campsites

Camp Sychar has several campsites available for rent. You can park a RV/camper at the site or set up a tent. RV/camper site rental costs are $35 a night and tent site rental costs are $10 a night.

Additional Fees

  • There is a $5 booking fee for all reservations.

  • There is an air conditioner add-on fee of $58.50. (Please let the office staff know if you do not use air conditioning and this will be removed.)

Half Cottages

Half cottages share a wall with another cottage. Half cottages cost $250 and have a 10-day minimum rental.

Cottage Holders and Seasonal Room Holders

  • COTTAGES are limited in supply

  • ​COTTAGES require maintenance and expenses from the cottage holder.​

  • Because ​COTTAGES are camp-owned, monies spent on maintenance are tax-deductible donations.

  • COTTAGE HOLDERS require attendance.

    • If you can't make it for a year, please let the Secretary know so we can rent it out.   This will not affect your cottage holder status. 

    • Chronically empty cottages will be reassigned.

  • ​​​COTTAGES are distributed thru the Secretary's office.

  • ​COTTAGES ARE NOT passed between private individuals.

    • ​We reserve the right to "undo" any such deals.

  • ​In the event of a cottage holder's passing, possession of the cottage returns to the camp to be re-assigned.

    • Spouses and children are the obvious as first choice in line for consideration, if they attend.

    • After that, it returns to the Open Cottage Bank for waiting list consideration.​
