COME FOR A SYCHAR WORK RETREAT!
We understand that many folks may still want to visit Camp Sychar this summer. So we want to provide an opportunity to come for a Work Retreat for a day or a few days. It would be a visit with a purpose of serving, by providing several hours of your time each day to work on one of the many projects around the grounds (see list). In addition to completing a work project, there would be time to walk and pray, soak up the serenity of the holy grounds and remember how God has met you here. This is a way we can still safely be at Camp in small groups!
Since we will not be gathering for a full physical camp this year, we will commemorate 150 years of Camp Sychar’s existence when we meet in 2021! There is much work that needs to be done to have the buildings and grounds repaired, painted and prepared for the BIG celebration- and now we have more time to get ready!
If this sounds like a great way to combine a time of service and fellowship for your family or small group, please see the Guidelines below that the Board has set. Keep in mind that the buildings and grounds are not “up and running” so facilities are very limited. Also, we must still abide by the CDC and Health Department guidelines; please bring your own masks, and hand sanitizer.
