Greetings!
We’re so excited and pray that U R planning to spend 10 days of your crazy busy summer at Camp Sychar! For ten days you can be a part of a fantabulous youth retreat with over 100 other youth. Those ten days can bring a lifetime of change for you and your relationship with Jesus.
Our daily schedule will include events like: rockin’ music and worship with our praise team; wild and crazy recreation at the pool & park; faith-building moments around the bonfire or in dorm devotions; and, great new friendships and fellowship with other youth from all over Ohio & the US. Be ready to gain some new Christian friends who will forever be a part of your life! Pray that many will leave camp with a transformed heart, filled with God’s love and peace.
Many of the same youth staff are returning and they have been praying for you. Beth Green and our praise band will lead worship at our services each morning in the Youth Ministry Center. Doug Daft and Pastor Steve Schellin will be our youth speakers, and you can read all about them on the website!

Meet The Youth Evangelist
Rev. Steve Schellin
Steve Schellin is Senior Pastor of Southland Community Church in Greenwood, Indiana. Prior to his position with Southland, Steve served as Co-Pastor of Harvest Point Church. He also has served as Pastor of Ministry Development, Young Adults and Missions at Community Church of Greenwood. Prior to his ministry in Greenwood, he was Minister of Youth and Young Adults at Faith Memorial Church in Lancaster, Ohio and Special Projects Coordinator for and Ohio Congressman. He has 27 years of ministry experience as a Senior Pastor, Youth Pastor, speaker, and administrator at Ohio Christian University. Schellin was also the Executive Director for the Christian Holiness Association (now the Christian Holiness Partnership), serving as conference director for the CHA International Convention and as editor for the magazine, The Holiness Digest. In addition, he has been a speaker for local church services, youth conferences, colleges and camps all over the United States and other countries around the world.
Schellin is a graduate of Ohio Christian University and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has also done graduate work at Ohio University, Lancaster. Steve and his wife Stephanie have been married 25 years and have two children: Meredith, age 17 and Landon, 13.
