Children's Program
Camp Sychar's Children's Ministry program is a high-energy time where they praise God through song and dance and learn about who Jesus is and how he is relevant to their lives. After this, there is a craft time where the children participate in various art activities that relate to what they are learning and then they head outside for games and a snack. Some of these crafts can then be seen around the campground. In the past, they have made centerpieces and posters that have been displayed in the cafeteria. The children's program is offered during the morning service, as well as in the afternoon. Each children's worker is required to file an application with the Camp and pass a background check prior to the start of the camp session. Bring your children during camp, and know that not only will they be well cared for, but that they will receive God’s teachings from the Bible in a relevant way. This affords you a worry-free time to enjoy the other activities that Camp Sychar has to offer! Join us on the last Friday of camp in the Main Tabernacle as we share the songs and bible stories we have learned! We look forward to getting to know you and your child this summer!
**Ages for the children's program are: entering 1st grade - 6th grade/age 12.**

Meet The Children's Evangelists
Tim and Laura McCoy live in Reynoldsburg, Ohio with their two sons, Ryan (10th grade) and Owen (4rd grade), and their dogs Calloway & Molly. Lots of family time is spent watching their boys play soccer and basketball, taking the dogs to the dog park, playing some crazy games of “old school” 4 Square and enjoying Lego Nights at home. Tim and Laura are not ashamed to admit that they are on Facebook, daily! Their family currently attends Stonybrook United Methodist Church, in Gahanna.
Currently, Tim is on staff with the Bishop’s Office of the West Ohio Conference. He has varied roles, however, most of his time is spent as Executive Producer of the West Ohio Annual Conference. Laura is employed full-time as the Pastor of Children’s Ministries at Stonybrook UMC, leading all aspects of SBK (Stonybrook Kids). Tim serves as a Jr. High Youth Ministry Leader in SBY (Stonybrook Youth).
Laura has been attending Camp Sychar since birth and Tim on and off since he married Laura 23 years ago. In the past, Tim and Laura both have worked on staff in the Youth Program, Tim as a full-time counselor living in “The Barn” and Laura as a part-time counselor. They are excited to be here for their 7th year as Children’s Evangelists!
