Children’s program
Tim and Laura McCoy live in Reynoldsburg , Ohio with their two sons, Ryan (6th grade) and Owen (Kindergarten), and their dog Molly. Their family attends Stonybrook United Methodist Church in Gahanna . Currently, Tim is on staff with the Bishop’s Office of the West Ohio Conference and Laura is employed full-time as a Respiratory Therapist. However, her initial career began as she earned her degree in Early Childhood Education and gained employment in the area of educating children. Laura is thrilled that God has given her the opportunity to use her education and experience with children at Camp Sychar .
Laura has been attending Camp Sychar since birth and Tim on and off since he married Laura almost 20 years ago. In the past, Tim and Laura both have worked on staff in the Youth Program, Tim as a full-time counselor living in “The Barn” and Laura as a part-time counselor.
Tim and Laura are both committed to Camp Sychar and ensuring it continues to grow and thrive. They believe the starting point is with the Preschool and Children’s ministries and they are honored and excited that God has brought them back as the Children’s Evangelists.
